Velvyslanec Indonézské republiky v České republice

Gratuluji panu Rachmy Soebajovi, prezidentu České federace tradičního karate Fudokan-Shotokan, a celé komunitě karate v České republice, k organizaci nadcházejícího turnaje Prague Open Karate Cup 2017. Jako člen rodiny karatistů jsem rád, že v České republice více a více lidí podporuje růst karate prostřednictvím otevřených turnajů. Stejně jako premiér České republiky a ministryně školství České republiky bych chtěl i já podpořit Prague Open Karate Cup, který se bude konat již po dvacáté druhé.

Karate je mi velmi blízké. V roce 1969 jsem měl tu čest získat černý pás, krom toho hodnoty karate prostupují mým životem od té doby, co jsem jej začal studovat. Karate pro mě není jen o sebeobraně, ale také o umění žít. Pevnost, čestnost a sebeovládání jsou nejdůležitější hodnoty karate, které mě motivovaly na cestách lemovaných úspěchy i neúspěchy. Upřímně věřím, že všichni závodníci tyto hodnoty v čestné soutěži přijmou.

V tomto roce bych také rád jménem Velvyslanectví Indonézské republiky opět aktivně přispěl prezentací indonézského umění a kuchyně. Věříme, že svazky mezi lidmi Indonézie a České republiky se touto cestou dále upevní.

Závěrem mi dovolte popřát, aby Prague Open Karate Cup 2017 byl letos i v budoucích letech stále úspěšnější !

The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia for the Czech Republic

Congratulations to Mr. Rachmy Soebajo as the President of the Czech Traditional Fudokan-Shotokan Karate Federation as well as to the Karate community in Czech Republic who are organizing the incoming Prague Open Karate Cup 2017. I am very glad, as part of Karate’s family, to see that there are more and more people in the Czech Republic who continuously support the growth of Karate through an open competition. As the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and the Minister of Education, Youth and Sport have given their continuing endorsement for this event, I would also like to reinforce mine for the Prague Open Karate Cup event which will be held for the twenty-second times.
Karate itself is very close to me. It was an honor for me to hold the black belt in 1969. Moreover, since the very first beginning in learning Karate, its values have been incorporating my life. Karate for me is not only about self defence, but also about an art of life. Toughness, fairness and self-discipline are of the utmost and important values of Karate which have motivated me going through the ups-and-downs. It is my sincere hope that all participants will acknowledge and inherit those values for a fair competition.
In this 2017 event, on behalf of Indonesian Embassy, I would also like to continue our support with an active participation in the form of presenting Indonesian arts and culinaries. We hope that the bonds between people of Indonesia and the Czech Republic will go beyond stronger through this cultural exchange.
Finally, may the Open Karate Cup 2017 has greater success this year and also for years ahead!
